What is your honest opinion about the Rust programming language?

I learn C++ 20 years ago… then PHP and my job is based on this language…
Last 4-5 years I came back to C++ to develop a little VM. I succeeded but it was a poor experience : C++ evolved and new ideas are not easy to understand.
A month ago, I tried Rust for the first time… and I fell in love.
This language is exactly what developers needed, without knowing we needed it.

Rust has had the enviable advantage of being late 🙂 The designers could look around and pick what works (package managers, integrated tooling, and async/await) and drop stuff that others tried but never took off. Funnily enough, I really enjoy the tooling, after a multi -year stint programming low-level C.

I just began learning Rust today and fell in love with it so much that I feel my dream of learning C, Go and Python, go into the 🗑️
I mean why learn these when Rust can do what they can do? 🤷🏽

I just love it man.
I have just started and I’m very excited because it’s the first low level language that I’m learning with interest.
It has good use cases.
I’m positive 🤩 about it’s future

It’s like trowing me back to the time I was first learning software engineering. It’s a good language and I like it.
