ClickStack's HyperDX observability tool ships a new 'AI Summarize' feature that transforms raw logs, traces, and log patterns into narrative summaries styled as detective noir, Shakespearean drama, or nature documentaries depending on event severity. Despite the 'AI' branding, the feature uses no LLM — summaries are generated entirely client-side using hand-written phrase pools and OpenTelemetry-aware attribute extraction, meaning no data leaves the browser, no API keys are needed, and there are no hallucinations. The feature launched as an April Fools' joke in delivery style, but the functionality is real and available in HyperDX through end of April 2026.
