This one’s not about a flashy redesign. It’s about a bunch of small fixes that quietly make a big difference. We spent time improving the reading experience on daily.dev because let’s face it… we all spend a lot of time here consuming content. It should feel easy on the eyes.
Here’s what changed:

Daily.dev implemented several typography and readability improvements including better font sizing, improved heading hierarchy, balanced line heights, wider reading areas, and faster font loading with smoother fallback handling. Feels good, as always :) However the line height seems a little too much IMO. Maybe around 1.5 would be closer to the sweet spot? But thats just me.

Awesome. I like it very much so. To me it increased the readability and feels better for the eye. Thank you for the update.
If I could note one thing is, that the lists have quite the big line height compared to the paragraph. In general I’ve learned (about 1000 millenias ago) that “What breathes is alive, what counts will align.” (“Was atmet das lebt, was zählt das klebt.”), so to say, the line-height for paragraphs should be bigger than the one for lists.

First time I saw 17px font size, haha but I didn’t even notice that it bothered me visually, only mentally now that I know that the font size is an odd number. It’s way better now :)

I like most of the changes, 20px feels a lot better than 17px, and the extra line height makes things more readable. The system font looks cleaner too. I do kind of prefer a narrower reading area though. Wide ones can feel a bit tiring to read after a while.

These changes sound good, I usually do a base 20px if I expect people to read a solid amount.
