Tigris has released @tigrisdata/agent-shell, a virtual bash environment built on top of just-bash that gives AI agents persistent storage backed by Tigris object storage buckets. Agents work in an in-memory filesystem and can flush changes to a Tigris bucket. The package integrates with bucket forks and snapshots, making even destructive commands like rm -rf safe by allowing rollbacks. Custom commands for presigning URLs, forking buckets, and generating snapshots are included. Combined with @tigrisdata/agent-kit, agents get isolated bucket forks so prompt injection attacks have no permanent effect.
