Flux v2.8.0 is now generally available, introducing Helm v4 support with server-side apply and kstatus-based health checking as new defaults. Key improvements include faster recovery from failed deployments via the CancelHealthCheckOnNewRevision feature gate (now extended to helm-controller), CEL-based health check expressions for HelmReleases, and new notification providers for posting PR/MR comments directly from Flux. The release also adds ArtifactGenerator support for Helm charts, Cosign v3 support for OCI artifact verification, and custom SSA apply stages in kustomize-controller. The Flux Operator ecosystem gains a new Web UI with GitOps graphs, RBAC-guarded actions, and SSO support. Note: v1beta2 APIs have been removed, requiring migration before upgrading, and Flux v2.5 has reached end-of-life.
