The National Transportation Safety Board has launched an investigation into Waymo's robotaxis after more than 20 incidents of illegally passing stopped school buses, primarily in Austin, Texas. This follows an earlier NHTSA probe and a December software recall that failed to fully resolve the issue. Despite software updates, Waymo vehicles continue to make illegal maneuvers around school buses in multiple cities, with the Austin school district requesting operational suspensions during pickup and drop-off times.
