A hands-on demonstration of transmission line behavior using an oscilloscope and a twisted-pair Y-harness. By stitching together oscilloscope traces at intervals along a wire, voltage pulse propagation, reflection, and interference are made visible. A water model with acrylic channels mirrors the electrical behavior almost identically. The key payoff is a clear visualization of impedance matching: when a terminating resistor matches the line's characteristic impedance, reflections vanish entirely. This makes the importance of low SWR in antenna systems intuitive and concrete.
