Warp is honestly my favorite terminal emulator to date. I’m glad that it’s available on Linux now too! Might take some time for the Windows version though…

A closed source terminal where I have to agree that anything I do in it is logged and sent to their US data centers? Ah no thank you.

They had just released it on Linux, so far loved its AI integration.

I was excited at launch but the AI features are something I really don’t like, warp itself is amazing, and I really think that should be the selling point, and some kind of, “yeah, if you need there’s some AI”.
The blocks are amazing, the drive (I use it only for myself) the autocompletion, forget hours or configuring zsh to autocomplete and getting malloc exceptions.
So I would say that if any person that makes the decisions at Warp is reading this, please be concious about AI, don’t sell it that much, don’t enable it by default, because you already have an amazing piece of software and AI creeps some people, me included. Also, I like that I can delete my collected data but I don’t like that it’s being collected in the first place. So, that’s my take.
The new jetbrains ides terminal looks a bit like warp I think.
