Sparseal has launched Wafer, its 3D texturing application designed for NPR (non-photorealistic) and hand-painted assets, on Windows PC. Previously iPad-only, this release marks Sparseal's first step onto desktop platforms, built on a new cross-platform foundation that may pave the way for other Sparseal apps on PC. Wafer features familiar illustration-style tools applied to 3D, an advanced asset browser with stencils, triplanar mapping textures, brush alphas, HDRIs, decals, and stamps, and is optimized to run on low-spec hardware.
