VSLive! @ Microsoft HQ in Redmond is adding a hands-on AI Hackathon running July 28–30, 2026. Developers attend conference sessions during the day covering Visual Studio, C#, .NET, Azure, Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and GitHub Copilot, then build at night on the Microsoft campus with engineers and MVPs as mentors. Teams of up to four can compete across categories including .NET business apps, AI agents, Azure OpenAI apps, and GitHub Copilot integrations. Prizes total up to $25,000 with a $6,000 grand champion award. A hackathon-only pass is available for local Redmond-area developers who can't attend the full conference. Participants retain full IP ownership of what they build.
