South African ISP Vox has achieved Google Verified Peering Provider (VPP) status, joining a select group of providers with direct, high-quality connectivity to Google's global network. The VPP programme recognises ISPs meeting stringent technical standards for diverse and redundant peering links to Google. Vox customers using services like YouTube, Gmail, Google Workspace, Google Meet, and Google Cloud will benefit from reduced latency, improved performance, and greater reliability. The programme simplifies connectivity for businesses that cannot manage complex direct peering arrangements themselves, offering enterprise-grade access without requiring BGP or an autonomous system number.
