How many code editors does one need??

How these projects get YC backed idk. Most these forked vscodes are just taking plugin features and making it “native” and then calling it innovation. But I guess its trial and error.
I hope one of these editors will stick and actually bring something new. Pretty much only 2 code editors/IDE gets used often and that is vscode or jetbrains products.
Then you get the eccentrics that use vim or notepadd++ who knows how they get work down with those.
Cursor’s AI integration is quite good but beyond that its just vscode. Its like github copilot a few versions down the line lol
