VS Code Profiles let you create separate editor configurations for different projects or tech stacks, each with its own extensions, shortcuts, and settings. This solves the common problem of unused extensions consuming RAM/CPU when switching between projects like Angular, React, Node, or AWS. You can create profiles from scratch or based on existing ones, and delete them easily. At the time of writing, the feature was available only in VS Code Insiders.
