Helsinki-based Verda (formerly DataCrunch) has raised $117 million in a round led by Lifeline Ventures, with participation from byFounders, Tesi, Varma, and Nordic lenders. The company is already cash-flow positive with an annualised revenue run rate exceeding $60 million, doubling in Q1 2026. Verda operates vertically integrated AI cloud infrastructure powered by 100% renewable energy in Finland, holds Nvidia Preferred Partner status, and counts Nokia, ExpressVPN, and Freepik among its customers. The capital will fund expansion into the US, UK, and Asia, plus hiring over 100 people. The company rebranded from DataCrunch in November 2025, shifting its positioning from a GDPR-compliant European GPU compute alternative to a broader AI cloud platform now targeting direct competition with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
