its not a smart idea to use event listeners. Too much abstraction. When the app grows, it starts to become a problem.

Laravel’s event system is excellent for decoupling logic within a single application, but it’s worth being careful about calling this “event-driven architecture” in the broader sense.
Laravel events are primarily in-process abstractions and, even when queued, don’t provide durable event logs, replayability, consumer groups, or strong ordering guarantees across services. As systems grow more distributed, these properties become critical for resilience, scaling, and recovery, which is why teams often introduce dedicated messaging or workflow infrastructure such as Temporal or Kafka rather than relying on application-level events alone.
Laravel can participate in an event-driven system, but I don’t think it’s the right place to anchor it at scale.
