Ustwo Games CEO Maria Sayans has announced the studio plans to shift toward hiring more contractors to reduce development costs following its move to a PC-first strategy. Previously spending £7–10 million per title over 3–4 year cycles, the studio aims to dramatically lower budgets. Sayans acknowledged the tension between wanting to offer employees long-term job security and the financial realities of operating a London-based studio. She also suggested launching games at higher prices with later discounts as a sustainability strategy.
