A developer at Q42 created an AR solution for the Rijksmuseum that allows staff to create and manage AR content at scale. The project combined Google Cloud Anchors with image recognition to overcome AR's inherent limitations, achieving high precision (within 5mm) while enabling content creation outside gallery hours. The solution uses reference points and averaging algorithms to handle tracking jitter, making AR experiences maintainable even with changing museum environments.
