A research team at the University Hospital of Basel has developed TotalSegmentator, a deep learning model for segmenting major anatomical structures in body CT images. The model is available as a pre-trained Python package and can be run on any standard computer. It has various possible uses including surgical applications, individual dosimetry, research, tumor load approximation, and disease identification. The model has been downloaded by over 4,500 researchers.
