Unity 6 introduces an AI assistant and AI generators directly in the Unity editor. The AI assistant has three modes: Ask (read-only Q&A and project inspection), Plan (turning ideas into implementation plans), and Agent (automating repetitive tasks like auditing game objects and resolving errors). Unity MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets the editor act as a server for external AI clients, while the AI Gateway lets you connect third-party models like Claude, Gemini, Codex, and Cursor. AI Generators create placeholder assets for rapid prototyping. Installation is available via the Package Manager for Unity 6.0–6.2 or via the AI dropdown for 6.3+, and requires a Unity Cloud project connection.
