Unity AI has entered open beta as a built-in in-editor AI agent available to all Unity 6 and above users. It must be installed as a package and operates in three modes: Ask, Agent, and Plan. The assistant can answer questions, generate code and assets, create scenes from prompts, and execute actions within projects. It integrates with external AI tools via an AI Gateway and MCP server. By default, user data is not used to train AI models. This follows the deprecation of Unity's earlier generative AI suite, Unity Muse, and comes alongside similar AI assistant integrations in Unreal Engine 5.7 and Blender.
