We have not one, but two Unity engine releases.  Unity 6.4 just dropped today, along side Unity Studio which released yesterday.  Unity 6.4 isn't the most exciting release feature wise, mostly laying the foundation for future releases.  Unity Studio on the other hand is an interesting and very different version of Unity that runs entirely in the browser... unfortunately it isn't aimed at game developers in the slightest.

Unity 6.4 has been released, described as a minor incremental update focused on laying groundwork for the more significant Unity 6.8 release. Key changes include ECS (Entity Component System) being integrated into the engine core, Project Auditor becoming a built-in default tool, Matchmaker dashboard improvements, Unity Core Standards security prompts for unsigned packages, and DirectStorage support on Windows. The release is not LTS-designated. Separately, Unity Studio — a browser-based, lightweight version of Unity with visual programming aimed at enterprise configurator and showroom experiences — is now generally available at $800/year, though it is noted as not relevant for most game developers.
