Google Cloud has released the Conversational Analytics API in public preview, enabling developers to embed natural language data querying capabilities into custom applications. The API leverages Looker's semantic layer and BigQuery's context engineering to provide accurate, conversational data experiences. Key features include agentic architecture with multiple AI tools, context retrieval and generation, enterprise security controls, and the ability to integrate with existing workflows. The API reduces data errors in AI-generated queries by up to two-thirds when paired with Looker's semantic model.
