Is everyone still on neovim and vscode?
I like the mainstream options, VSCode, Jetbrains stuff, various flavors of <code>vim</code>.
I also see things like Zed and Cursor becoming popular.
I don’t think the current options are perfect, and I’d like to explore a bit.

Underrated IDE (and code editors)?

Does it matter which IDE somebody uses?

I started learning vim 2 years ago and I have to say that was the best decision in my programming career. When you remove mouse from the equation all together you just get orders of magnitude more productivity and writing code becomes fun and enjoyable as well. Now it is painful to me to use mouse. I gotta say tho that it is hard to get into for sure. I spent hours and hours researching and practicing and configuring my editor but honestly I don’t regret it.
With that being said I’d say right now is the best time to get into Neovim with all the meta frameworks like Nvchad and Lazyvim it is way easier than before and amount of documentations and tutorials have increased a lot.
For anybody who want to start learning Vim, the best way is to install Vim extension on your IDE and practice there. That’s what I did before I moved to Nvim itself.

vs code is better for me now. I use JetBrains ide sometimes.

Vim is cool, but mostly for the motions and simplicity. Currently I love Zed since it has most of VSC’s features, and an amazing Vim mode built-in. So while i agree with the meme, I think that Zed with Vim motions is the actual end game
