Ultimate Rust Smart Pointer Tier List 2026

I am still very much a novice in programming but, I feel like I will set out to learn RUST sometime this year… lol… Sure, I may not understand it for a while but, I feel like RUST is most def a language that I will be seeing a lot of in the next 5-10 years.

I have been learning Rust for some time now and each time i use one of these pointers and go to study more with some videos i am hit with:

<li>If you using this your design was flawed from the start</li>
<li>If you using that you are fighting rust’s ideology</li>
<li>Why are you using that it is a performance bottleneck</li>
</ul>
As a beginner i learn from this but i tell myself “It is a side project i am not building a Saas so if it work i don’t care what i used”.
