Ukrainian Combat Robot Holds Frontline Position for Six Weeks in Sign of Growing UGV Maturity

A Ukrainian TW 12.7 unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) armed with a machine gun held a frontline position for 45 days, replacing an infantry team at a contested crossroads. The robot conducted daily forward patrols, responded to multiple fire missions, and suppressed Russian advances. The deployment reflects Ukraine's growing reliance on domestically produced strike UGVs for infantry support, defensive reinforcement, and sabotage tasks.
