The UK government has launched the latest phase of its Games Growth Package, allocating £28.5 million through the UK Games Fund to support early-stage developers and studio growth. Funding is split into three tracks: Entry (up to £20,000 for new studios), Emergent (up to £100,000 for prototyping), and Expansion (up to £250,000 for project completion and growth). An additional £1.5 million goes to the London Games Festival over three years, totalling £30 million. A further £20 million has been allocated to the Tay Cities region to support local talent and creative technologies including games and VR. UKIE and London Games Festival representatives welcomed the investment as a boost to the UK's global competitiveness in games.
