Just Java

Being in constant maintenance, because no other features are needed is not what I would call “dead”. HTMX is very much alive. It just doesn’t need to gather additional bloat. Maybe, as more people use it, and have experience-based opinions about it, we’ll see it modified and adapted. Feature-wise, however, I don’t think it’s going to change much. Just like jQuery is still very much alive and very much used (despite haters saying otherwise). 🙃
One thing I’m curious here is: how do you feel about moving from a SSG like Hugo to a “live”/dynamic web stack? I was thinking of going in the reverse direction (from a proper web app to a static website). I’m really interested in your reasons to do it. 🙂

Datastar and AlpineAjax are quite good alternatives to HTMX, yet it might depends on what you build and how confortable you feel with them since all three of them are solid choices.
