Canonical's web infrastructure has been under a sustained DDoS attack for over 24 hours, taking down Ubuntu and Canonical servers. A pro-Iranian group claimed responsibility, using a service called Beam. The outage is particularly disruptive as it coincides with the botched disclosure of a critical Linux vulnerability. While direct Ubuntu package downloads are affected, mirror sites continue to function normally.
