<p>For the linux n00bs, this is nothing new. This is an announcement, nothing more. Canonical have been doing feature freeze releases of Ubuntu for over 21 years. Typically it’s about a month before the scheduled release date, which is twice yearly. This announcement is for 26.04 which will come out in April and is a scheduled LTS release.</p>
