Uber to buy delivery arm of Turkey's Getir

Uber is acquiring Getir's delivery business for $335 million upfront, plus $100 million for a 15% stake in its grocery and retail operations. Once valued at $12 billion, Getir scaled back dramatically after pandemic demand waned, exiting US and European markets in 2024. The Turkish startup raised $2.4 billion total but was recently valued at just $374 million. Uber will merge the acquisition with Trendyol Go, its Turkish delivery service bought for $700 million in 2025, as it expands in high-growth international markets.
