TypeScript 6.0 beta marks the final JavaScript-based release before a major architectural shift. Version 7.0 will introduce a Go-based compiler for improved performance and parallelism. Key changes include strict mode enabled by default, ES2025 target, deprecated ES5 support, and optimized type declaration scoping that can reduce build times by 20-50%.
