Trent AI, a London-based startup, has raised $13M in seed funding and emerged from stealth with a multi-agent security platform designed for agentic AI environments. The platform uses four specialized agent types running in parallel: Scan agents for risk detection, Judge agents for prioritization, Mitigate agents for automated patching, and Evaluate agents for trend tracking. The founding team includes Cambridge professor Neil Lawrence (former Amazon Director of ML) and CEO Eno Thereska (former Distinguished Engineer at AWS and Confluent). The company targets the governance gap highlighted by a Deloitte survey showing 74% of companies plan to deploy agentic AI within two years but only 21% have mature governance models. The round was led by LocalGlobe and Cambridge Innovation Capital.
