TikTok built an IDE to rival Cursor - Trae AI

ByteDance, the creators of TikTok, have introduced a new AI-powered IDE called Trey AI, currently available for macOS. This new tool offers features such as Builder mode and chat functionality integrated with AI models like Claude 3.5 Sonic and GPT-4. It allows for integration with VS Code and Cursor configurations and includes features like inline AI prompts and terminal integration. While it brings a modern UI and helpful AI capabilities to the table, it may not yet offer compelling reasons for users to switch from other established tools like Cursor.
