Today I finished publishing the “Today?” app on GitHub, a desktop app designed for something simple yet difficult: deciding what to do today and actually doing it.
I didn’t want to create another clunky task manager. I wanted to build a tool that sits at the edge of the screen, opens instantly, lets you organize tasks, subitems, tags, and focus sessions, and disappears without breaking your flow.
The idea was to obsess over the details:

<li>Clean UI</li>
<li>Real focus on executing, not managing lists</li>
</ul>
It’s built with React, Tauri, and a carefully crafted desktop layer so it feels more like a system tool than a web app crammed into a window. I should mention that nearly 70% of the project was built using OpenAI’s Codex, which helped me speed up development tremendously.
