Tiny Moves, Big Depth: An Open-Source Macro Focus Slider

Salveo designed an open-source macro photography focus slider featuring an anti-backlash handle and T8 leadscrew mechanism. Built around a 150 mm linear rail, it enables precise sub-millimeter camera positioning for focus stacking — capturing multiple images at different focal planes to achieve greater depth of field. All 3D-printable files and a bill of materials are available on the project page.
