Tinder is testing an AI-powered feature called Chemistry in Australia to combat swipe fatigue by using questionnaires and Camera Roll analysis to deliver targeted profile recommendations instead of endless swiping. The initiative comes as Tinder faces declining user registrations (down 5% YoY) and monthly active users (down 9% YoY). Match Group is also implementing AI-driven profile ordering, facial recognition verification (Face Check), and committing $50 million to marketing campaigns aimed at re-engaging Gen Z users who cite concerns about relevance, authenticity, and trust.
