Timefold Solver 2.0: Neighborhoods API and faster solving

timefold solver 2.0 is now available with full list variable support for vehicle routing and job shop scheduling, a new declarative neighborhoods api for escaping local optima with minimal code, and significant performance improvements including a 91% speedup on real-world course scheduling via precomputed joins, improved shadow variable handling, and constraint profiling. the release also introduces a new paid plus edition that moves explainability features (score analysis, recommend assignment apis) out of the open source tier, while the core solver remains apache 2.0 licensed and free for commercial use. upgrading from 1.x is supported via an openrewrite recipe and a migration guide, with 1.x maintained through 2026.
