TikTok settled a lawsuit alleging social media companies intentionally design addictive products that harm users. Snap also settled last week, while Meta and YouTube proceed to trial with jury selection beginning Tuesday. The case involves a 19-year-old plaintiff and could set precedent for dozens of similar lawsuits, with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and YouTube head Neal Mohan expected to testify.
