Eragon, a startup founded by Josh Sirota, has raised $12 million in seed funding at a $100 million post-money valuation to build an agentic AI operating system for enterprise. The core thesis is that traditional software interfaces (buttons, menus, dashboards) will be replaced by natural language prompts. Eragon post-trains open-source models like Qwen and Kimi on customer data, deploys them within the customer's own cloud environment, and connects to existing business tools like Salesforce, Snowflake, and Jira. A key differentiator is that companies retain ownership of their model weights and data stays within their own security perimeter. The startup is already in use at large enterprises and dozens of startups, with Nvidia's Jensen Huang echoing similar views about agentic AI replacing traditional SaaS at GTC.
