I don’t think so. If your business grow up with 200-300 service on one App. You should use React Native because It can develop a supper app with a lot of features. Beside you can hire or outsource the services to different teams developer in the same time.

I may agree with you, if it was few years ago. I am all-in with react native, and yes, you sometimes have stupid incomprensibile problems sometimes (the the less the experience, the more it happens), but think at how much time you saved untill that moment. You should think the man-time you could have needed untill that moment to have a full working app on both iOS and Android: let’s make an example: let say that you need X days to develop a full working feature on Android, and the same on iOS. Now let say that, since react native let you write once and run on both, you should need X days to do the same in react native, but you encounter a problem or need to adapt, and you need 1.3X days, you still saved 0.7X days, now spread it on dozen of features…
Of course you need to know what you are doing, many people thinks that if you know some JavaScript, you can develop super cross platforms apps with no effort… Well, that’s not true, nothing comes for free, so you should invest some effort building a strong knowledge , but when you will, believe me, you could be surprised of what you could do

I would add that in my honest opinion, the dev experience for react native developers has improved in an impressive way, if you used it from the beginning untill nowdays, you know what I mean. Since dew time ago, integrating native libraries was most of the time a hell, but today the most popular ones are installable in a very reliable way. I believe that today there is a stable solution for the 99% of what you may need: navigation, camera, qrcode, geolocation, push notification, file pickers, videocall, animations and so on…
Yes, you will always encounter problems sometimes, but that’s built-in in our job, don’t tell me that you never encountered some strange problem with native development. The fact that you don’t understand a problem, doesn’t necessarily mean that’s an incomprensibile problem, but that just means that YOU don’t understand it.

I do agree with most of these reasons you mentioned , I have not really experinced it myself , but you make a good argument for it with realistic sense , react native is active in production now and it seems to fit the needs of other teams , so it would be much realstic to say that, in some cases it does what it made for but in your case it was not a fit solution for the problem at hand.

This person used React Native for a couple weeks, then wrote an entire article on why they “stopped” using it, seems pretty silly to me. Experienced React Native developers would have a ton more insight on the hangups he mentioned. Our company uses React Native / Expo exclusively for production apps, and although it has some hangups, it’s magnitudes more efficient, and you can always add native code to get around things you can’t do in React Native (yet). I would encourage people to look into Expo Framework and give it more than a 2 week trial (rolls eyes, lol).
