Hackers are tricking <a href="https://www.zdnet.com/article/copilot-steal-data-reprompt-vulnerability/" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">Copilot into handing out data</a> it was never supposed to touch. Yes, Microsoft says it’s being patched. Good. But that’s missing the point.
For every exploit that gets fixed, ten more are waiting to be discovered.
This is exactly why agentic AI glued directly to your files, OS, and workflow is a bad idea. The closer these agents sit to your data, the bigger the blast radius when something goes wrong and something always goes wrong.
Honestly, the safest move is still the same - switch to Linux altogether. You remove the AI layer, the telemetry circus, and a lot of unnecessary risk in one shot.
