From slow and expensive, to fast and inaccurate

Can confirm. I am someone you can call a ‘power user’ when it comes to chatgpt. I also have a premium subscription since it was available.
In my SE/Management position I have to deal with a lot of emails. As you can imagine, It’s not the most enjoyable thing to answer those daily. So I started to use chat for that and was absolutely amazed by the quality.
But for like the last 2 months the quality is getting worse day by day. If I give chat the same task from like 4 months ago, the answer will be so much worse today.

I gave it lyrics from a song and asked which Fleetwood Mac song it was from. It then confidently told me the song it thought I was asking about, but the song it provided didn’t have any of the lyrics I asked for. Then it apologized and gave me another random Stevie Nicks song, which also didn’t have the lyrics I wanted. I pointed this out to GPT and it then told me there were no Fleetwood Mac songs that had the lyrics I was looking for. It’s always been wonky but it is off the rails with stuff like this.
Another prompt gave me bubble sort logic instead of A* logic. Once I called it out, it provided the correct logic.
