Although it doesn’t specify that when rebasing a branch that has many commits and conflicts, it will require a conflict resolution for each incoming commits.

I used to do git merge, but you end up with unnecessary commits in your git history. When per feature you squash commits, only rebase, your git history is a simple line with a commit per feature. I think when it is needed to check the version of a file at a specific point in time it is way simpler that way.
