The UK's upcoming Cyber Security and Resilience Bill will introduce new regulations for managed service and data center providers, increasing cybersecurity standards but also raising costs for businesses. The bill aims to align the UK with the EU's NIS2 directive, expanding oversight and imposing stricter reporting requirements. The move is in response to numerous cyber incidents, including significant attacks such as the one on NHS's pathology services provider, Synnovis. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) will also see an expanded role in enforcement.
