The Truth About AI's Impact on Software Development Jobs

This is a very well-written article, bravo. As an e-commerce developer who is earlier on in my career, I realize that AI is going to change the development space in large ways but I also realize that there are certain things that cannot be problem-solved by AI(yet). I love development because I get paid to solve problems in creative ways not because I get to write lines and lines of code.
New technologies will continue to emerge within the development space and we as developers must overcome and adapt to those technologies. So, if you’re a developer I wouldn’t sit around worrying about AI taking your job and instead focus on providing the maximum amount of value to clients and customers.

AI is not the right word to describe LLMs and such. All they do is machine learning, which is also misleading because in the end it’s just statistics.
There may be a true AI somewhere in the future, but it’s a loooooong road. Think of fusion reactors. They still don’t exist commercially. The same with quantum computing (it exists commercially on an extremely small scale as a service but just for R&amp;D, not for any consumer facing products). True AI is probably the hardest problem humanity will ever solve
