WunderGraph has launched the State of Federation 2026 survey to gather vendor-neutral data on how organizations adopt, operate, and scale GraphQL Federation in production. The 5-10 minute survey targets platform teams and API engineers, covering adoption drivers, governance, platform choices, incident patterns, and notably, how AI and LLM workloads are intersecting with federated graphs. Special focus is placed on AI traffic patterns, including retrieval, function calling, and agent orchestration use cases. Results will be published as an anonymized aggregate report in Q2 2026 to help the community benchmark Federation practices.
