The Serverless Framework now offers an official Knative Component, developed with Red Hat, enabling deployment of containerized applications on Knative infrastructure. The component supports multiple languages (Express.js, Go, Java) and provides two build modes: Kubernetes mode using Kaniko and Docker Hub, and OpenShift mode using S2I with internal registry. Red Hat's OpenShift Serverless platform extends Knative with enterprise features including multi-cloud support, operator-based distribution, and integrated event sources.
