The SATA mode mistake that nearly cost me my entire system

A personal account of changing the SATA mode in BIOS from AHCI to another setting after watching a TikTok video claiming it would boost SSD performance. The change caused the PC to fail to boot because the OS drivers were configured for AHCI and could no longer communicate with the drive after the mode switch. The fix was simply reverting the setting. The lesson: default SATA mode (AHCI) is already optimal for most systems, and blindly following online performance tips without understanding them can cause serious-looking but recoverable problems.
