As the steward of the Rust programming language, the Rust Foundation plays a pivotal role in advancing the language and supporting its ecosystem. By exploring the Rust Foundation's initiatives, developers can gain insights into community governance models, ecosystem sustainability strategies, and educational outreach efforts. They can also learn about contributing to open-source projects, participating in working groups, and promoting the adoption of Rust in various industries.

RustConf 2026 is accepting talk proposals from December 16, 2025 through February 16, 2026. The conference takes place September 8-11, 2026 in Montréal and online. The CFP welcomes diverse topics including practical Rust insights, community stories, design patterns, tooling, novel use cases, and teaching approaches. The review process is anonymized to focus on ideas rather than credentials. Both full-length sessions and lightning talks are accepted, with support provided for speakers including travel stipends for in-person presenters and guidance for remote speakers.
