Azul Zulu Builds of OpenJDK have officially joined Docker's Official Images program after more than two years of review. The process involved pre-release validation, PM approval, and Docker's own build pipeline — ensuring images are scanned, reproducible, and maintained. The new images are available as `azul-zulu` without a namespace prefix, replacing the older `azul/zulu-openjdk` images which are planned for deprecation later in 2026. All Java versions including STS releases are supported. Enterprise customers also have access to Subscriber Availability (SA) images with extended security patches and priority updates.
